Is Affiliate Marketing Good Business

The ugly the fact is that almost thousands of individuals who get involved with a company opportunity become part of a huge market segment that's being misled, manipulated, and exploited.

There appears to be an abundance of opportunities available these days. Within the home business industry, you'll find a myriad of different 'flavors' of money-making opportunities, usually, you will find 3 primary business models that many people are acquainted with inside the home based business arena. I want to let you know about one of these: internet affiliate marketing business.

Internet affiliate marketing Business - Yes it's a business and a large one at that. This is among the simplest ways to earn money with internet affiliate marketing because there are hundreds, otherwise thousands of affiliate marketing programs that you can sign-up with and start earning money immediately. Many of them have the freedom to become listed on. As an affiliate marketer, you market a particular company's product or service, so when you signal them a customer (make a sale), you're paid a commission.

Here is a quick example to earn money with affiliate marketing... ever notice how many websites promote books from Amazon.com? Well, many of these websites are actually Amazon.com affiliates... and when someone clicks on one of their links using their site and buys a book on Amazon, the website owner automatically gets to be a commission directly from Amazon.

affiliate marketing

Listed here are 4 Advantages of Internet affiliate marketing:

1. Work at home - With unemployment at record highs and many people unhappy with their jobs, individuals are embracing other resources for extra monthly income.

2. Start up Cost Are Minimal - An Affiliate Marketing Business is very inexpensive. Normally, you can get started for under $100. Most professional marketers will have their very own website name, hosting package and autoresponder. All fairly inexpensive business necessities when nowadays online internet business.

3. No products to create - When joining a joint venture partner program, you select the products you want to promote without all the hassles of actually having to create the product. Because the affiliate you also don't have to handle the shipping and customer support issues.

4. The power of the internet - It really works for you 24/7. You set ads on various marketing platforms, some paid some free and produce a sale which results in a commission any time of the day or evening. This is the great thing about making money with internet affiliate marketing!

There are millions of great affiliate programs you can join and earn a resale commission when one of your customers buys their product. Generally commissions ranges from 25% - 50%. Some commissions really are a one time deal (selling a magazine on Amazon) and some are monthly residual incomes. You may suggest an autoresponder to a customer/web visitor and they purchase from your link and you'll receive commission every month once they remain a customer.

How To Craft Ideas For Kids ? Rainbows Of Love - How To Do Things

Kids activities can be fun for the entire family and creative ideas are readily available. Many common items around the home can be transformed into children?s art work, and Q-tips are just one item that is versatile in crafts. The cotton swabs make a perfect paint brush and are the right size for young hands.

Creating rainbow cards with the kids is a fun family activity that is perfect for any time of the year. Rainbows are especially popular during the spring, however, the bright colors can easily be transferred to Christmas, fall or summer craft ideas.

To begin the following kids activities, you will need these supplies:
-Several cotton swabs for each child.
-Masking and scotch tape
-Glue dots
-Six colors of paint for a rainbow, but any colors work great for holiday cards
-Newspaper, plates, paper stock and wet cloths.

The plate makes a perfect place for kids to store several colors. The cotton swabs are an ideal brush, and covering a table with newspaper protects the finished surface. Little kids are notorious mess makers, and this is part of the fun. Having a variety of wet cloths helps kids keep clean and prevents the home from turning into a disaster area. Many kids like to keep their fingers clean, and wet cloths are perfect for this purpose too.

Creating a Rainbow Card
1. The first step is to prepare the work surface and cotton swabs. Because there are traditionally six different colors in a rainbow, it is ideal to use six swabs for each child. This leaves a swab for each color and reduces the mess. Putting a piece of masking tape over the cotton surface makes it easy to paint the cards and allows a broader brush stroke.

2. Card stock should be prepared by cutting it in half, and the remainder should be folded to produce a card shape.

3. Each cotton swab should be dipped in its own rainbow color. Some kids like to dip all of the swabs at the same time, but others prefer to work on a single color. Either option is perfect and up to the family.

4. The swabs should be dipped in paint and swiped across the paper in the shape of a rainbow. Using a different color for each course is ideal, and kids can develop their own artistic touches to create a unique rainbow card.

5. The rainbow can be left as is, or it can be enhanced with cotton puffs or sparkle paint. Adding some cotton to the bottoms adds an impression of clouds, and there is always the rumor of a pot of gold at the rainbow?s end.

Other Painting Techniques
The cotton swabs work great when the tip is taped, but this is not necessary. Using tape produces a bolder brush stroke because the cotton absorbs a lot of the paint.

Using one hand to paint all of the lines at the same time is another technique. This method is perfect for kids and is easy to do. Simply hold one swab between each finger, and the rainbow is finished in a single pass.

Kids activities are a great way to share with the entire family, and rainbow cards are perfect for sick relatives, holiday events and birthday parties. Everyone enjoys seeing the creativity of children, and bright cards warm a dreary day.

A rainbow is a beautiful creation in the sky, and kids love the bright colors. Making cards at home is a fun activity that is perfect for the entire family. Most homes have the required supplies lying around, and there is no need to make an expensive trip to the crafts store.

Listening to the Voters: Energy drives swing vote

Four years ago, Washington County did something it had not done in 40 years of politics: it went Republican. John McCain was the victor in this picturesque, rolling countryside by four points over then Senator Barack Obama.

The shift from blue to red makes Washington, Pennsylvania a political anomaly. It's a democratic leaning region heavily populated with union workers, but according to County Commissioner Diana Irey Vaughan the voting shift can be explained along economic lines.

"The recession really hasn't had a huge impact in Washington County. We're third in the nation in job growth and 40 percent of that's due to the Marcellus Shale Plate."

The Marcellus Shale Plate, a giant formation of sedimentary rock that runs through New York and Pennsylvania and into West Virginia and Ohio is rich with oil and natural gas and has made this rural county a mini-boomtown. By some estimates there's enough natural gas to supply all of America for the next 25 years - and people working in the energy business understand their financial future depends on a supportive White House.

"I think Washington County voters are more likely to look at the candidate and look at the issues and the positions of the candidate when they vote rather than just pulling the party lever," said Vaughan, adding "people in southwestern Pennsylvania in general and especially Washington County are very supportive of the energy industry. We all want to make sure that the energy industry is responsible and clean and green and safe but we're open to allowing energy independence to start right here."

Drive the back roads here and you're likely to see lawn signs supporting or decrying the energy business. ?'Stop The War on Coal - Fire Obama' reads one, symbolic of the political divide among voters. This area was built on the back of coal, a source of energy that fueled the industrial revolution and supplied the steel mills of nearby Pittsburgh. Consol Energy is one of the largest employers in the county and according to company CEO J. Brett Harvey this election is in many respects a referendum on the nation's energy policy.

"I think the American energy policy is political and we're not looking at our resources," he said. "We have 30 percent of the world's coal, we've found all this natural gas and we're debating whether to use it or not. We need to find ways of using it for the good of the people because it's our resources ... It's red, white and blue."

Harvey believes people are voting for their jobs, and in some cases the natural resources beneath their land. Energy companies are paying big bucks for mineral rights, something retired farmer Bill Black has wholeheartedly embraced. Black and his wife Sheila bought their 200 acre farm in 1963 and he readily admits that at times it was a struggle.?

"Until this gas boom, oil boom came along people found it difficult to pay their taxes. Even more difficult if they had a mortgage," he said from a chair on his front porch.?

Black's fortunes changed when oil was discovered beneath his land and he sold the rights to Texas based energy company Range Resources. The tranquil peace and quiet he's enjoyed for almost fifty years is sometimes disturbed by the roar of heavy trucks going back and forth to the oil platform a few hundred yards from his farmhouse but Black said he was happy with his decision and has already made up his mind on who he will vote for in November.

"Three and a half years ago we talked about change and the change that we have seen we really don't like," he said. "We're hoping that Mr. Romney can do some things."

The money from the oil well is allowing the Blacks to fund their grandchildren's college educations and providing a nice financial cushion in their golden years.

"It was really amazing in '08," he recalled. "That's when some of the local people first received royalties and some of those original checks were for over a quarter of a million dollars and to these people that's an enormous amount of money."

That's not to say that everyone here is supportive of energy. At the weekly farmers market in Washington local residents shop for organic produce from local farmers and artisans. Vendor Jodi Borello said she usually votes Republican but in this election she plans to vote for President Obama because of her environmental concerns.

"I have 28 gas wells, three frack ponds and two fresh water ponds within one mile of my home and I'm very concerned about it. The things I have witnessed and see and what I personally have gone through ... I'm very concerned about it," she said from her stall where she sells handmade pasta.?

Her thoughts are echoed by others who have concerns about the environmental impact of fracking, the method used to extract natural gas from the Marcellus Shale Plate and it reinforces the divide between voters here that goes well beyond party affiliation. The newfound energy and newfound wealth is changing the landscape here, and may well be changing its politics too.

Food Geek is the Ultimate Foodie ? Vegas Vitality Nutrition

This week, Las Vegas is taking the term ?Foodie? to the next level at the International Food Technologist (IFT) Expo. I am a ?Food Geek?. IFT?s Student Association was giving out name tag flags if you expressed your true ?food-geek-ness.? Boy, did I meet their criteria: product and recipe creator, food writer, expert in nutrition (dietitian), expert in food security (masters degree), food spokesperson, and overall Foodie (love to eat good food). My life truly revolves around food and I love my food like a kid loves cake.

?

Even with all of the amazing culinary creations and food science developments on display, I was reminded that the IFT Expo celebrates much more than the creation of good tasting food. With more than 80 countries represented, it truly takes an army of food geeks to ensure food security, safety, and supply to the masses. This is best explained by the new video that IFT has recently released: World without Food Science. Please view and share your thoughts!

Intuit Online Payroll Plus

The last time we reviewed online payroll services, PayCycle Plus was our Editors' Choice. Intuit, which was late on the scene has since bought PayCycle, and a recent revamp of the combined service has brought it up to the interface and navigational standards that characterize today's best websites. Intuit Online Payroll Plus ($39/month base price; $1.50/employee/month; $12/month for each additional state) earns its place as the best thanks to this new look and feel, its superior ability to shepherd users through a complex and challenging process, and its extensive support options.

Setup and Support Surpass Competition
Once you've done the initial setup of a payroll site, the actual payroll runs aren't that difficult. But those early steps can be. If you've pulled together all of the required information about compensation and deductions and taxes, it's easier. But precision is required because of the necessity of absolute accuracy, and because you're dealing with local, state and federal taxing agencies, financial institutions, insurance companies and other benefits providers.

Intuit Online Payroll Plus eases you through this progression in numerous ways. First, like its competitors SurePayroll and ONPAY, Intuit Online Payroll offers Intuit specialists to help you with the setup process. All three offer assistance via email, phone and chat. But the online help Intuit offers?both within the site and on its company website?surpass what SurePayroll and ONPAY provide.

You'll find every type of support imaginable on Intuit's payroll sites, like FAQs and videos and a community forum. You're more likely to find an answer to your question via Intuit's online help or glossary than through the competition's help files. There's a Getting Started Guide, an interactive video tutorial, and a practice site.

Another standout feature: Intuit covers all seven days of the week with personalized support options. You can call Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. PT, and chat Monday through Friday 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., as well as weekends 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT. You'll most likely need the bulk of your support upfront as you're building your files, so generous weekend support isn't so critical at first. But if you're running a payroll on the weekend and get stuck, a few minutes with a support person could save the day.

Creating the Core
To prepare an online payroll site for use, you have to enter information about your company itself and about your employees. Within those two areas are myriad questions about your company's compensation practices and your employees' specific financial situations. For example, how often do you do a payroll run? How do employees accrue vacation and sick time? Do you have to deal with state and local taxes? What benefits do employees get? Other withholding?

Each of three services I reviewed has a slightly different method of requesting this information. ONPAY and SurePayroll display one main screen each for employee and company setup, with a vertical pane that contains links to each sub-section, where you fill in the blanks and make selections. While both are easily understandable and navigable, neither makes particularly good use of screen space. And SurePayroll doesn't have the look of an up-to-date Web interface.

Thankfully, Intuit has streamlined and modernized its onscreen presence. Intuit Online Payroll accomplishes much more on one screen than it used to. And it's visually superior to its competitors. As you build an employee record, for example, the screen displays a check graphic and keeps a running tally of the pay and deductions you're adding. Payroll doesn't require a lot of time once your basic records are complete, but the more pleasant the experience, the better.

None of these sites towers over the others in terms of the amount and flexibility of payroll information you can record. They're all mature enough to accommodate the creation of thorough payroll employee and company records for most U.S. small businesses of roughly 100 employees (more or less). Intuit Online Payroll offers little wiggle room: You can add notes, as you can in ONPAY, but there are no custom fields, which would be welcome in this application. SurePayroll lets you define up to 12 additional employee fields.

Employees can also enter hours on a remote timesheet or punch in and out on a time clock ($1.50/employee/month), and workers' compensation is tracked each payroll. Competitors offer similar services. What they don't offer is their own 401(k) product and a Health Debit Card, which Intuit does.

From CIA asset to solitary cell in Pakistan

There can be few jail cells in Pakistan as lonely as the one occupied by Shakil Afridi, the doctor who helped the CIA hunt down Osama bin Laden.

He is kept in solitary confinement to protect him from hundreds of convicted militants eager to avenge their hero's death. He may not be safe even from the guards ? only two trusted officials are allowed to see him.

Beyond the walls, Afridi is as much a prisoner of Pakistan's growing resentment of the United States as he is a victim of his own dalliance with high-stakes espionage.

No wonder then that he finds solace in the story of Younus in the Quran, almost identical to that of Jonah in the Old Testament, a prophet whose faith in God delivers him from the belly of a whale.

"My brother was confident that he will be released very soon. He said: 'I'm innocent, I've done nothing wrong,'" Afridi's brother Jamil told Reuters in a recent interview after visiting the jail in the northwestern city of Peshawar.

"There is a prayer said by one of the famous prophets, when he was eaten by a fish," Jamil added. "Dr Shakil is reciting that same prayer for his safety."

Pakistan jails doctor who helped CIA find Osama bin Laden

The history of U.S. spycraft has seen few faster reversals of fortune than Afridi's journey from a participant in one of the most dramatic covert operations of modern times to isolation in the forbidding confines of the colonial-era Peshawar Central Jail, with red-brick walls and watch towers.

A small-time country physician long dogged by allegations of medical malpractice, Afridi, now 48, was recruited by the CIA some years ago, according to several U.S. and Pakistani officials. One Pakistani intelligence source said he was talent-spotted while working in a refugee camp on the outskirts of Peshawar in 2009 and used to gather intelligence on militants in the border area.

Later, he was asked to scout bin Laden's compound in the garrison town of Abbottabad, near the capital Islamabad, under the cloak of an anti-hepatitis campaign.

'A victim of the US game'
U.S. officials say Afridi provided important information on activity at the compound. Bin Laden was killed in a U.S. Navy SEAL raid in Abbottabad in May last year that was conducted without informing Pakistani authorities.

Three weeks later, Afridi was picked up, interrogated for months and, in May this year, sentenced to 33 years in jail.

When he was led to a warder's office for the meeting with his brother on June 4, Afridi wore no shackles or handcuffs and was clad in the shalwar-kameez, the loose-fitting trousers and flowing shirt popular in Pakistan.

Jamil Afridi noticed he had gained weight - perhaps because conditions had improved since his transfer to the jail from detention centers used by intelligence agencies.

Jamil, a village schoolteacher, says he himself has been forced to adopt a rudimentary disguise, dark glasses and a cap, to ward off unwanted attention since appearing on TV to defend his younger sibling.

Slideshow: Pakistan: A nation in turmoil (on this page)

"My brother has become a victim of the U.S. game," said Jamil, who spends much of his day worried that passersby are actually security agents tailing him. He used the term "angels" for the agents, as many Pakistanis do because they are believed to be everywhere but remain invisible.

"If my brother had really played a role for America, I think the Americans should have kept it secret."

Afridi meanwhile has become a new irritant in the complex ties between Washington and Islamabad, that have been deteriorating over the past 18 months despite Pakistan's pivotal role to U.S. interests in Afghanistan, counter-terrorism and nuclear security.

Afridi's incarceration fueled suspicions in the Obama administration that elements in Pakistan secretly sympathized with the militants the United States is trying to catch. Pakistan's failure to prosecute a single suspect accused of helping facilitate Bin Laden's stay near a military academy in Abbottabad has only sharpened the rancor.

The day after Afridi was sentenced, the Senate expressed its anger by voting to dock Islamabad $33 million in aid ? $1 million for every year of the term.

Senate panel votes to cut $33M in Pakistan aid over bin Laden doctor's conviction

To Pakistan's powerful military, which was enraged by the bin Laden raid, Afridi is a traitor. Critics in the tribal areas on the Afghan border say he deserves to be punished, not for helping the CIA but for his lack of scruples as a doctor.

Elders and former officials say he made money by performing unnecessary operations on unsuspecting villagers and that he was accused of sexual harassment by nurses.

Jamil Afridi dismisses the allegations as baseless. Some former colleagues have described Afridi as a diligent professional and U.S. officials have also leapt to his defense.

Video: U.S.-Pakistan rift over conviction of doctor (on this page)

"Available information showed Afridi was a respected member of the Pakistani health care community," said a senior U.S. official in Washington. "We are aware of efforts, put in place since Dr. Afridi's arrest, to denigrate his character."

U.S. officials say they offered to relocate Afridi and his family after the bin Laden raid, but that the doctor declined.

There was no way to independently confirm that account.

Jamil Afridi said he did not know whether his brother had received such an offer, but he believed Afridi would have been reluctant to take his two sons and a daughter out of Pakistan, where he had a stable job and his wife was working as the principal of a government college.

Panetta: Only a 'small handful' of top al-Qaida targets left

"He had a good future," Jamil Afridi said. "Why would he move to the U.S. to live there?"

Naseem Bibi, a nurse who worked on his immunization drive in Abbottabad, also defended Afridi. "He was very nice to all the people in the team and did his job very diligently," she said.

Shakil Afridi was born in a modest home in a village in southern Punjab, a vast flatland of wheat, rice and cotton fields that is Pakistan's breadbasket.

Afridi's father had retired to Punjab after serving as a sergeant in the Frontier Corps, a paramilitary unit deployed to protect Pakistan's border with Afghanistan. The family hailed from the Afridi tribe, part of the fiercely independent Pashtun community that straddles the frontier.

His grandfather, Mir Dast, had won the Victoria Cross, Britain's highest military award, in 1915 for valor at Ypres, Belgium, the site of some of the most intense fighting in World War 1.

Although the family was by no means wealthy, Jamil Afridi said his parents were the first in their village to obtain a refrigerator when electricity arrived there in the early 1960s.

Interactive: A timeline of Osama bin Laden's life (on this page)

A dedicated student, Shakil Afridi qualified as a doctor in Peshawar before taking a series of government jobs as a health officer in the rugged land of monumental landscapes and scattered villages hugging the Afghan border.

For years, Afridi was trailed by accusations that he had sought to make easy money by convincing patients to go under his scalpel for unnecessary procedures at his private clinic.

Mohammed Yousaf, an elder from Khyber, said his sister had suffered months of complications and remained bed-ridden after Afridi performed surgery to treat her fever.

"We are illiterate villagers and thought whatever the doctor advised would be good," Yousaf said. "Dr Shakil used to advise surgery to every patient."

Allegations of medical malpractice are not unusual in Pakistan's tribal areas, and it is impossible to verify the validity of the claims.

What is certain is that Afridi rankled his superiors. "Keeping in view his extreme lust for money, I am ashamed to even call him a doctor. He is a corrupt, unreliable and low category officer," wrote the author of a provincial health department report on his performance in March 2002.

In the rough-and-tumble tribal areas, where militants often hold greater sway than the government, the allegations came to the attention of Mangal Bagh, a bus driver-turned warlord who commands an armed group known as Lashkar-e-Islam.

Papers released by the tribal court that sentenced Afridi last month said he had been found guilty of aiding the group, and not for treason for his role in helping the CIA, as Pakistani officials had initially stated.

Lashkar-e-Islam, which does nothing to hide its contempt for Afridi, has denied the court's finding. The group said it would try the doctor itself under Shariah law for working with the CIA to find bin Laden.

Video: Officials demand end to CIA drones in Pakistan (on this page)

Lashkar-e-Islam does, however, acknowledge that its fighters kidnapped Afridi for several days in April 2008 to investigate the allegations of medical malpractice made by locals.

"He was not a surgeon but conducted surgeries and deprived many people of their body organs," said Abdur Rashid Lashkari, spokesman for Lashkar-e-Islam.

Jamil Afridi said his brother had been forced to pay a one million rupee (now about $10,650) ransom to Lashkar-e-Islam to secure his release and rejected the allegations that his brother had performed improper surgeries.

Brother of doctor who worked with CIA in bin Laden hunt seeks US protection

The year after that ordeal, Afridi decided to visit the United States, a vacation that seemed to lodge an admiration for the country in his mind.

In a move that perhaps suggests he was facing some financial strain, Afridi sold his car and a plot of land near Peshawar to fund the trip, his brother said.

He returned with fond memories. "He would tell us that people were so good in the U.S.," Jamil Afridi said.

Afridi was approached by the CIA through an Afghan agent while he was working at the Shamshatoo camp near Peshawar for refugees from Afghanistan in 2009, according to the Pakistani intelligence source, although the claim could not be independently verified.

It seems likely that Afridi would have been a prize catch for CIA agents desperate for an informant who could move freely in the tribal areas, a global hub for militant groups and al-Qaida fighters that is virtually sealed to outsiders.

As the operation to find bin Laden gathered pace, Afridi was set to work organizing an immunization drive in Abbottabad, 95 miles of Peshawar, the site of the compound where U.S. officials suspected he was hiding.

The aim was to obtain DNA samples from children living in bin Laden's compound to prove their father's identity, according to a former Pakistani security official.

Accompanied by three health workers, Afridi went to bin Laden's house and told his wives that an anti-hepatitis drive was underway in the area, the former security official said. He took cheek swabs from the children under the pretext of the campaign.

Video: From the archives: Osama Bin Laden profile

"A woman went in (to the house) and said 'bring the children out, the doctor is waiting and he will give them the drops'," the former official said. "That's when he used the swabs."

It was unclear whether the CIA used the swabs to determine if the children were bin Laden's. But the doctor did provide intelligence on tight security arrangements at the house.

The raid that killed bin Laden sent shockwaves through Pakistan. The government was at a loss to explain how the al-Qaida chief could have been hiding in Abbottabad, or how U.S. helicopters had managed to slip into the country undetected.

As Pakistani intelligence agents scrambled to decipher what had happened in the months leading up the raid, the net began to close on Afridi.

Pakistan lawmakers to US: Stop drones and apologize for deadly airstrike

Intelligence officers learned that a doctor had visited the bin Laden compound, and got Afridi's name from district medical authorities. On May 23, Afridi was picked up while driving to his home in Peshawar.

A convoy of three double cabin pickup trucks forced his car to a halt and black-clad security agents jumped out and began to rifle through the doctors' identity cards, according to an account of the arrest by his brother.

"This is the one," said one of the security men and Afridi was blindfolded and taken to an anonymous holding cell.

Afridi had seemed oblivious to the dangers of falling into the hands of Pakistan's notorious intelligence services. His brother said Afridi was preparing for the sacred hajj pilgrimage along with his wife and had paid a deposit for the journey.

Video: Death of bin Laden: One year later (on this page)

Instead, he found himself languishing in jail, unable to reach out to the U.S. agents who used him in the closing stages of one of the longest and most expensive manhunts in history.

Afridi's lawyers, who talk strategy in their cramped office in a partly disused building in Peshawar's run-down commercial district, have lodged an appeal against his sentencing.

But there seems little prospect of a quick end to their client's ordeal. Jamil Afridi, who appeared on Pakistani television to defend his brother, says his own eight children now fear for his safety.

"For the first time when they saw me on different TV channels they were crying and telling me: 'We have already lost our uncle,'" he said. "'If we lose you, what will happen to us?'"

TV Actor 'ordered hit on accused' - South Wales Argus

CWMBRAN MURDER TRIAL: TV Actor 'ordered hit on accused'

A TV ACTOR killed in his own home had paid hitmen to try and kill a love rival, his ex-girlfriend has told a court.

Gary Suller, 45, who worked as a supporting artist in a number of TV dramas and feature films, was found dead in Harold Street, Pontnewydd, Cwmbran, in September last year after being tied up and beaten.

Barry Bowyer, 38, of Llanon Houses, Croesyceiliog, has admitted burglary and manslaughter but denies murder.

Cardiff Crown Court heard the pair were both in love with a former prostitute called Katy Gilmore - who today admitted playing the two men off against one another.

Previously, Mr Suller had been described as a caring man who was trying to get the 27-year-old off drugs.

But today, Ms Gilmore told a different version of events to the jury.

As well as saying her saviour had been in fact been the defendant, whom she would love until her "dying breath??, she said father-of-two Mr Suller was a secret pimp who was plying her with drugs.

She said: "I blame myself for Gary's death.

"Yes, I played them off against one another.

"I was using Gary for money - but at no point did I use Barry.

"He got me off heroin and prescription drugs.

"He's the love of my life and will love him until the day I die.

"With Gary, my drug addiction escalated and increased. He had an unlimited supply of money.

"He knew for a long time that I had been unfaithful to him.

"Gary was jealous and would do anything to stop me seeing Barry.

"I was told he was going to pay three men to murder Barry. Barry was in the bath when they kicked the flat door down and attacked him.

"He lost so much blood and should've died.?? Mr Suller, whose roles included small parts in Doctor Who and Casualty, met Ms Gilmore in a brothel in 2010.

Recalling the time they met, Ms Gilmore said: "He was infatuated with me and bombarded me with flowers, wrote lover letters and promised to look after me financially.?? Her new boyfriend raised eyebrows among family members, saying Mr Suller "didn't fit the profile of her previous boyfriends??.

Her exes, she told Cardiff Crown Court, included a man named "Denny?? who had locked her in a house for three days and beaten her.

The jury also heard details about Ms Gilmore's background.

She took Valium at the age of seven, smoked cannabis at nine and began using heroin aged 11.

But the few relatives that had not disowned her, began to hope Ms Gilmore would turn her life around, after getting together with Mr Suller.

However, Ms Gilmore said Mr Suller had encouraged her to take drugs and one occasion following her release from prison had driven her to a dealer's house.

She also claimed Mr Suller was a pimp, saying a piece of paper that police found in his home with girls' names on it was a list of prostitutes he "picked up?? for jobs.

The jury also heard details about how Ms Gilmore and Bowyer had met during a drug rehabilitation programme in September 2010.

"He got me clean and he loved me - I mean I think he did,?? Ms Gilmore said, as Bowyer nodded.

However, the defendant's head later "became screwed up?? as Ms Gilmore flitted between Bowyer and Mr Suller.

Four days before Mr Suller died, Bowyer wrote a letter to Ms Gilmore speaking about how he had felt manipulated.

"If you loved me you would have the decency to tell me the truth,?? he said.

"I'm your bitch and I have got to take it or simply lose you.

"You know this very well and play it to your advantage.

"When I first met you... (I realised) you were a dangerous lady who would bring me life or death.?? But despite his confusion and anger, Bowyer later went on to say he would rather be Miss Gilmore's "bitch?? for life rather than be without her - and also referred to Mr Suller as a "stalker??.

The court also heard details about a Facebook message Bowyer had sent to Mr Suller which repeatedly urging him to "stay away??.

Following the cross-examination from defending barrister David Aubrey, Ms Gilmore faced further questions from prosecutor Peter Davies.

Mr Davies asked why - if she had loved Bowyer so much - she had not told him when she had found out about Mr Suller hiring three men to kill him while he was in hospital.

Ms Gilmore said she did not want to "upset?? Bowyer.

The prosecution also told the jury about Bowyer's previous convictions - which included a nine-year jail term for a violent robbery in 1996 and a five-year prison sentence for a similar offence in 2004.

Mr Davies also gave details of a police report filed by Mr Suller - who believed his house had been burgled by Ms Gilmore and Bowyer.

Among the items missing, included a collection of DVDs valued at ?1,500 - which included a copy of Mr Nice, a film about drugs mule Howard Marks that Mr Suller had starred in.

"The box was open and the disc was missing,?? he said in his report.

"As I was in the film, someone who knew me would've done this to send me a message.?? The case continues.
